Monument Valley 2, or Monument Valley II, is a puzzle-adventure game by Ustwo Games that involves manipulating the environment to create paths and find ways through the levels, or chapters. The game Monument Valley came before this game, though some believe that it is a prequel, instead of a sequel, to the first game.
Plot[]

Not much is known about the plot. However, many believe that it is a prequel to Monument Valley, and that the main characters, Ro and her daughter, are traveling to create the monuments that Ida has destroyed and is restoring in the first game.
Ro and her daughter may be creating Sacred Geometry in each level to finish the monuments. In the first game, Ida has stolen the Sacred Geometry, and in doing so, has destroyed all humans. (Though she was a crow, she was cursed to become a human.) So, chronologically, Monument Valley 2 probably comes first, because Ro and her daughter are still humans and alive.
There is also some speculation that Ro is The Storyteller in the first game, as the Storyteller is a ghost who has a hat resembling Ro's when she created the geometry. As Ro did create the Geometry, it would make sense for her to be the storyteller, as the Storyteller seems angry at Ida for stealing the Geometry.
The plot of the game, however, is that Ro and her daughter are traveling together to create the monuments. Ro seems to be teaching her daughter how to do so, too. Though Ro is worrying about her, as the Ghosts imply, she must send her daughter away so she can be independent and grow up. This sparks memories in Ro, too, who uses the powers of her friend Doortem to enter her own memories, remembering that her mother sent her away, too.
Ro and her daughter are eventually reunited, however.
