We are flying to HH on Saturday. I was most worried about the baby but my friend just told me her ds the same age as my ds cried the whole flight bc of his ears. Ugh...tips? How do your kids do and what did you do to make it fun?

I had the worst flight ever when DD was 16 months however after age two, she was fine. DS1 always did great....too scared to try all three!

We flew last summer and they were almost 3 and 4. ?They did fabulous. ?We brought books and snacks and not one tear was shed. ?DH and I were in seperate rows so each child got a window seat which I think helped. ?During our layover we let them run around a bit.
      Good luck!

We fly frequently with DS. The worst age was from 9-15 months (mobile but unable to understand why we couldn't move all around). After 15 months he has been awesome for the most part. We bring a DVD player, coloring books, bendaroos, some books, silly putty, stickers, lots and lots of snacks, and a few small toys like cars. When he was younger he stayed occupied with packs of post-its (seriously) and things like taking my water bottle cap on and off.

they do pretty well, but have a max 3 hour flight time before they start to get antsy. I bring lots of new treats and little toys/activities. And, always have a sippy cup filled with something they like (fill after going through security). Drinking helps them unblock their ears. We usually take a walk up/down the aisle half way through the flight too, although now that they use the potty that takes care of that for us.

We fly alot, and she does really well. I bring lots of coloring books, snap together dolls and dvd's. Also a ton of snacks.

The only time she was a nightmare was when she was about 15 months. We had a really long delay, and it ended up being 10 at night when we finally got on the plane. We scheduled flights around her sleep schedule on purpose, and it got totally thrown off. She cried for 2 hours, and we had been bumped up to first class because of a screw up at the airline. People were not happy, but it was the airlines fault.

Overall my kids have done really well. We typically have flown about 2x a year and the only time it didn't go well was when we had major flight delays and the kids were over tired. Heck I was over tired and cranky on that one. We are flying again in a few weeks and it will be the 1st time my younger DD has her own seat and I'm not holding her so we'll see how she does but they keep busy and we always bring a DVD player with a movie and that so does the trick along with stickers, lots of snacks and some books and of course, the lovies.

I'll let you know after Monday. I'm not worried about my 4yo but I'm scared silly about my 16 mo. I fear it won't be pretty.

My son has never had problems and he's been flying both commercial and private since he was 5w. I on the other hand experienced squeeze once upon landing and it was nearly unbearable. I had my husband block me so he couldn't see the tears falling down my cheeks. My newest hasn't had problems either.

Nurse or give your child a bottle upon takeoff and landing.
